SUBJECT TO CHANGE. WILL BE MODIFIED AND UPDATED CONTINUOUSLY.
Changes will be indicated by the color orange.
The entire document has been modified and simplified! Please reread, as there have been some changes.
GENERAL FORUM RULES pt.1
1. Follow the rules. That’s the first and foremost rule.
2. Be nice.
3. *Bumping topics. Please refrain from bumping your topics daily. If you must do it often, make it once a week or every two weeks.
4. Please also refrain from using rude and negative language (cuss/swear words). It's just not cool, and it really messes up conversation. Feel free to speak your mind here, just do it in a civilized manner. Please leave all rude language out of your posts.
5. NO FLAMING WILL BE TOLERATED. If you must criticize, do it in a nice manner.
6. Do not claim anything that is not yours. (Don't steal! Stealing is bad. )
ROLEPLAY CHARACTERS
1. This is where you post a list of the characters you roleplay with. You do not have to add profiles here; you can instead add them in the roleplay, because the forms will usually be provided. Other characters may go into the Character Archives (located in the Library) or to the OC Ratings thread to be rated by fellow forum members.
2. Please follow the RPG Rules for this section.
ROLEPLAY
1. This board is where you roleplay to your heart’s content—and then some.
2. Sequels of previously completed RPGs are allowed.
3. If an active RPG goes five months without getting a reply, it will be placed under hiatus by a moderator and moved to the RPG—Hiatus board. If, after five more months, there have been no replies, it will be locked and moved to the Recycle Bin.
LINK-IN
1. This board contains ONLY the links to Mahou no Ichigo Forums and its affiliates. Do not request to have your site added, because it will not be done.
2. You may use the images provided to link back to Mahou no Ichigo Forums HOWEVER you may NOT use these images for your own site, graphics, etc.
3. Read the rules on how to download/upload and link these images in the Link-in thread.
ADVERTISE
1. This board is for advertising ONLY. You are eligible to advertise if you are a member with 25 or more posts.
2. Do not double post your site (in other words, two threads featuring the same site) because it takes up space and makes the board look cluttered. Instead, "bump" your topic.*
3. Do not steal anything advertised. It's mean.
4. No spam.
THE CAFÉ
Keep checking back there for updates regarding the café status as well as the status of any request you might have posted here.
~Place Your Order~ This is where you order art/stories/graphics, etc. Please note that this is NOT FREE. Visit the gallery if you want to make a free request.
~News~ This is the thread for your spontaneous information. You can notify us that you won’t be on for a few days, or that your cat died (aww T_T), or that you’re watching episode number 200 of Naruto right now…stuff like that. ^-^
~Private tables are for specific members that have invites from the topic starter. The only ones allowed in these private tables are the ones the host gave the password to.
RECYCLE BIN
View the FAQ at the bottom of this post.
OC RATINGS
1. Absolutely NO stealing characters. Why? Because it's mean!
2. No flaming. Because it's not nice either.
3. Once you submit a character for rating, don't annoy everyone else by asking when it will be rated, etc. (that shouldn't be a problem, but just in case)
4. Don't submit the same character multiple times. If you need to make a change to your post, just click the 'modify post' button in the top or bottom right hand corner of your post.
5. To post your very FIRST character, start a new thread within the OC Ratings category titled 'Your Name's Characters' (ex. Yuki's Characters) or something similar to that.
6. After posting your first character, all following characters (aside from roleplaying-exclusive characters) must be put into the same thread. This keeps everything organized. ^^
7. If you are done using your character, or think the character has no hope at all, you have the option of requesting a staff member to put the character into the Recycle Bin. Someone else can adopt the character if they like, with original credit to you.
8. Use of a form is not required. However, MNI has a few forms you may use if you desire. You DO NOT have to use the entire form if you don't want to. Its length and complication is only to provide as much information as possible to the reader.
9. Submission options:
~Submitting character(s): You can choose this option if you're just submitting one or more characters and nothing else. Includes fanfic OCs.
~Submitting a story plot with character(s): This is okay, as long as the story plot isn't hugely long.
~Submitting multiple story plots and characters: This is okay too! just make sure you specify which characters go with which story.
GENERAL FORUM RULES AND FAQ pt.2
~Warnings
If you harass another member and/or otherwise violate the terms of service (aka the rules), you will get several warning ‘points’ added to a warning meter based on the severity of the violation. When that meter is full, it serves to give you one last chance. If you violate the rules once more, you will be banned. I highly doubt anyone will ever get that far, but if so, it is your own fault and you are NOT to blame me, moderators, guests, or other members for your being banned. If anyone goes so far as to cause more trouble even after they have been banned, notification will be sent to the Proboards staff. (Again, I don’t think I’ll ever have to do that, but just to be safe…)
~Flaming
Flaming is basically criticizing beyond a necessary point, starting an unnecessary argument/fight, dissing someone’s character/plot/etc without any real reason, etc. Basically, don’t try to bite people’s heads off. It’s really not a very nice thing to do. When I say no flaming is tolerated, I mean NO FLAMING IS TOLERATED. In other words, if you’re a well-known flamer, you might want to bite your tongue as a member of this forum, because excess flaming will rack up your warning points really fast, and before you know it, you’ll be banned.
~Banning
I really don’t want to have to ban ANYONE. So please play nicely, children. <3
~Recycle Bin
The recycle bin is for old, used, unwanted stuff and locked topics, including finished roleplays. Items in the recycle bin are subject to being deleted at any time; however, they may be recycled by a member if he/she has a new idea for it. To recycle an item, you must request it in the request thread, and after giving your proposal to me, I will review it as time allows and there is a good chance you will get to recycle the item. If you do not want your thread any more (say, it has a character you don't want) you can ask to have it placed in the Recycle Bin.
~"Bumping" Threads
When you "bump" a thread you are moving it up to the top of the page (with the exception of stickied threads--they are always at the top). You do this simply by posting in the thread.
